Cindy Sele's Child Care is owned and operated by Cindy Sele at 321 Merriam Ave. North, Thief River Falls, MN.   I am licensed with a C1- C2 License by Pennington County.  I currently have ten children in childcare.  The childcare is run in a house next door to my home.  Having a separate childcare from my living space helps me provide care that is more set up for learning for children.  I have an Associate degree in Early Education from Northland Technical College in Thief River Falls.  I have worked in childcare for over 24 years.  Children six weeks to twelve years old are welcome in my childcare.  My philosophy for my childcare is that childcare is set up to learn and teach but we are also family here.  

Infant/Toddler Daily Schedule:

6:30 am - Childcare opens. Children will use this time to rest or play quietly during this time.  If child needs a nap, bottle, or diaper change this will be done at this time.  

8:00 am - Breakfast with all children.

8:30 am - Clean-up children, if babies need bottles or diapers at this time, we do this before starting activities with older children. 

9:00 am - Playtime or stories. 

9:30 am - Diaper or bottle, otherwise go outside or inside for play.

10:00 am - Held, talked to with group about letters, shapes, colors, encourage interaction with other children. 

10:30 am - Music time with other children. Encourage clapping, shake bells, bouncing, or sounds to music.

10:45 am - Diaper, bottle

11:30 am - Dinner for all children.

11:45 am - Diapers and cleaned up for naptime.

12:00 pm - Naptime, Bottle, and rocked.

1:30 pm - Diaper, bottle, playtime until all children are up.

2:00 pm - Playtime with older children.

2:30 pm - Diaper and bottle (if needed otherwise wait until after snack)

3:00 pm - Snack

3:30 pm - Diaper, play outside or inside.

5:30 pm - Childcare closed.

  • Infants need more time to be held so during playing inside or outside, this is time for being held and talked with about what the kids are doing.  
  • Infants take naps and bottles when they want them, and naps when they want them. It is hard for a clear schedule when their needs change.  The schedule is only an idea, not set in stone.  

 

Preschool Daily Schedule:

6:30 am - Opens when childcare is needed. (First child scheduled to arrive.)  Child rest, watch tv, play, look at books.

7:15 to 8:00 am - Breakfast

7:30 am - Bus for Thief River Falls and Goodridge (School days only)

8:00 am - Clean up, brush teeth, bathroom use, wash hands.

8:15 am - Playtime/ Storytime.

8:45 am - Creative learning time. Art or science.

9:30 am - Clean-up and indoor or outdoor play.

10:30 am - Music time

11:00 am - Clean-up 

11:30 am - Dinner

Noon - Naptime

2:00 pm - Clean-up /playtime/art

3:00 pm - Snack

3:20 pm - School bus for Thief River Falls (school days only)

3:30 pm - Outside play or inside play/ homework needs to be completed (this can be done with the group outside or inside)

5:30 pm - Closed

  • Children wash hands before and after meals and activities.
  • Toilet training children will go the toilet before and after meals, play, coming and going from childcare.
  • The schedule will change if activities or meals take longer, this is only a general idea of what we do each day.
